Territory Tribute comprises a program of events commencing with the Bombing of Darwin Day Commemoration (19 February), through to Anzac Day (25 April) 2019. Territory Tribute positions the Territory as the destination for the Military History in Australia.
Modern day Darwin offers plenty of opportunity to learn, explore and understand exactly what happened in WWII, and 2019 is the first year that Darwin will host the 2 month long ‘Territory Tribute’ event.
Did you know that Darwin was bombed more times than Pearl Harbour? The bombing of Darwin, 19th February 1942, remains the largest ever single attack every mounted on Australian soil by a foreign power.
The event is dedicated to the most significant moments in Australian history which include the Bombing of Darwin (19th February) and Anzac day (25th April). Darwin and the Territory’s unique military history is a story that deserves to be shared with all Australians.
